a powerpoint. >> yes, we do. but i'm not quite ready to use it yet but i will hit that button in just a moment. thank you for reminding me. the reputation and promise of the arts commission has been tarnished recently. and i think by looking at our report and reading it, you get a clear indication of how what was to be an extraordinary part of our art community has found itself faced with a variety of challenges and criticism. and as such, those criticisms and negative responses need to be addressed by the community. and the civil grand jury has a particular point of view, and that is a citizen's point of view. we have no axe to grind. we don't represent any government agency that is in the city. we're not representing people who are providing the services of art in the city. we just are looking at this as citizens. and as such, we have gone to the extent of reviewing all of the criticisms that have been made, and we spent a year learning and evaluating, and actually preparing recommendations that the rest of our committee has agreed to adopt. we are under the supervision of the superior court

washington, d.c. he cannot give in words his powerpoint if he mentions sequestration oncetor committee as a whole or the motion to recommit eyes will glaze over he's got to stay on offense but at the same time he has to par tri differences between him and governor romney and especially changes that governor romney -- several incarnations that have gone to is going to parry that, not to get into the weeds but parry it. as far as joe biden, i think he's got a tougher but in many ways more simple. he's got to lift the spirits of the spirited -- dispirited democrats. i think he f he does that -- he is the happy warrior, very much so. a lot more so than the president. but he these play both offense and defense. last week the president played neither. by defense he's got to be able to say "this is what we've accomplished." and point out especially in states like ohio and michigan the difference the auto industry has made student loans being -- the interest being removed. the pre-existing condition. all of those things, he's got to do it. and at the same time he's got to go on offense as far

with the powerpoint to did not the powerpoint. be really wonky, kind of the guy in the numbers in the weeds. and instead, ryan tried so hard that at times it was awkward to be the guy who has the friend and that the person that knows the person, when in the clip is that it's not getting social security. he talked about his friend in janesville. biden seemed ready to go after him on the numbers. so is a role reversal. biden spent a lot of numbers and statistics and ryan spent a lot of time talking about people. >> biden spoken the camera into the american people and seemed most comfortable doing that. i thought ryan seemed a little stiff in the beginning and loosened up as the debate went on. you could tell a little bit him is his first national debate. >> we have heard a lot about ryan's wackiness and how much he knows. but as you think he knew a lot on this or that he was reaching deep to find things? i couldn't quite get a handle on it. >> we talked about the foreign policy. there was a lot of times three was rattling off information about syria, libya, afghanistan, iran, where he claimed

could take out these powerpoint presentations and deliver them for an hour before voters in some small town in wisconsin and instead this was very much a debate that is going to be discussed on issues of style and that clip you showed really demonstrates that. those are substantive issues. they were trying to discuss. and look at biden interrupting paul ryan with humor, making a joke, of course, about jack kennedy. of course, many of the romney campaign advisers are saying they think ryan did well, they're talking about biden as nancy said being over the top but i think i spoke with one who i think really nailed it. he says he believes biden may have helped the president with his base. and i said that really was an important thing for him to do right after what the president did last week because many of his supporters were kind of demoralized after that performance and he said it was. but what about the independents. what about the undecides. they may well be turned off by some of the things we saw from the vice president tonight. we can see paul ryan holding his own on the stage, but
